Ballet

 The girls are taking summer dance classes at Main Street Dance. They've had about a year off from dance/gymnastics. Emy really wanted to start Ballet and Ella decided she'd like to return to Ballet/Tap. After the summer, we'll see if Ella wants to remain in dance or focus on gymnastics. Emy definitely wants to stay in dance and I think Ella will too since Emy will be performing in two shows and Ella wants to be a part of that too.

The Princess and the Baby Mermaid

Emy still likes to pretend she's a baby and sometimes asks for milk in a bottle just to pretend, although she does drink the milk. Ella and I are more than happy to play along.

 I found my girls like this in our living room. Apparently, Ella had filled a bottle for Emy and made her a "crib" from a large cardboard box. Emy wasn't speaking any words, just making baby sounds. :-)

NC Zoo Trip

The girls and I finally made it out to the zoo on what was most likely the last mid-70s day this summer.

This tree bridge is not 100% complete yet, but the girls loved climbing up this ramp to the look-out.

This Bombardier Beetle sprays water. Ella loves it, but Emy won't go near it.
