Wonderland Express

We visited the Wonderland Express at the Museum of Life & Science again this year. Emma was really excited about it.

This is what happens now when I ask Ella to smile. :-)

Gingerbread Train

We had a lot of trouble keeping the roof from sliding off our Gingerbread house last year. I haven't had much time to research the art of Gingerbread houses, and Ella loved this train kit we found at the grocery store, so a Gingerbread Train is what we made this time.

She had very minimal help from Mama. It turned out really cute!

It was only about 10 minutes after she'd completed it that she wanted to know when we could eat it. Well, they are best eaten fresh. :-)

Playing in the Leaves

Coonie loves Ella and will let her carry him all around.

Playing in the leaves

If we'd taken a little more time to prep the pile of leaves it could have been a lot bigger, but the girls were anxious to play so we just made a small pile.

The secret to our relatively leaf-free lawn, child labor. ;-) Just kidding, daddy's mower cleans them up pretty well.

Homeschool Halloween Party

I was looking through my pictures and realized I forgot to post pictures from the girls' homeschool Halloween party in October.

There are a lot more kids than this in our homeschool group, but this is everyone who was able to make the party.

Juice and snack time!

Sofia the First

Ella has been looking forward to the premier of Sofia the First on the Disney Channel for almost two months. The night finally arrived on Sunday. I made Princess Sofia cupcakes and they each got their own Sofia soft doll to watch the movie with!

Ken's Corn Maze

We visited Ken's Corn Maze in Garner with our homeschool group yesterday. The girls had so much fun there!

It was pretty cold! :-)

Goats!

Bowling

Playing in the hay

They have a serious corn maze! It took us about an hour or so to get through it. You punch letters that spell "Ken's Corn Maze" on a card at punch stations throughout the maze. It's fun for the kids and helps you stay on track through the maze.

I carried Emy most of the way, but she did enjoy walking for brief spells. I realized once we arrived at the farm that she was coming down with a cold, so that probably explains her lack of energy.

Pumpkin Checker Board

The girls got to pick pumpkins to bring home.

Hayride!

The trees are beautiful, especially at this time of year.
