Changing Table Entertainment

Ella is starting to make some more defined noises. I caught a couple of them on this video and the next.

Still tiny, but she's in this 3 month outfit already.

How To Calm A Sleepy Baby

Sometimes Ella gets a little fussy in the evening. After we've changed the diaper and fed her as much as she'll drink she's usually just tired but having trouble settling. Sead discovered this technique of lulling her to sleep.

The "burrito" wrap also helps calm her with some rocking by Mama.

Doorway Jumper

We tried out Ella's doorway jumper today that Uncle Nate and Auntie Joy gave us. She's still has a couple of months to go before she'll be able to jump in it, but she did have fun swinging in it.

A Series of Short Video Clips

Ella slept her longest stretch yet Sunday night. She fell asleep at 8pm and didn't wake up until after 3am. 7 Hours!!!

Smiling - Ella loves to hear about "Snook's" adventures.

More Smiling

Ella is getting better and better at lifting her head.

Gramma discovered that Ella likes this... "Super Girl"

On the Balcony

Ella enjoys looking at the flowers, trees, and our cats on the balcony.

Her hair is now lighter than mine and we can see gold in it in the sunshine. She may end up with Daddy's light hair after all, at least while she's young. My hair was very light brown with streaks of blonde in the summer when I was young.

Smiling

Ella started smiling about a week ago. These are some pictures we took of her smiling today.

How Mama & Ella Get Things Done

This is how I keep up with things when Ella is awake.

She is able to hold her head up well enough to face forward in the Baby Bjorn now.

So Cute

A Relaxed Day With Mama

It's so hard to stay awake after a warm bottle of milk. :-)

A New Swing

Wow! This swing is going to save me! Ella has been having a hard time taking naps the last couple of days. She starts crying just 5 to 15 minutes after I lay her down. She'll sleep on me or if I rock her bed, but then I don't sleep. :-) We were both getting quite tired, so I ran to BabiesRUs today and got this swing. She's already been sleeping in it for 2 hours now.

One Month Old

I'm back from the hospital and recovering from having my Gallbladder removed on the 6th. Fortunately, they were able to take it out through 4 tiny incisions, so recovery is much faster. In the meantime, Gramma was here for a couple of days to help and Daddy has taken over primary diaper and feeding duties with Ella. :-)

Ella is one month old today! She has just started focusing on objects and is now beginning to enjoy her mobile.

Oops! This nighty isn't wiggle proof. :-)

Snuggled Up With Daddy

Blue Monkey

Sead won the blue monkey in the photos below at one of our newborn classes. The instructor had a jar full of jelly beans and attendees got to guess how many were in it. Sead guessed the exact number of jelly beans (110). I say "guessed" but the way he said it when we wrote down the number was more of a statement of fact. :-)
