How To Carry Things While Crawling

I've seen Ella carrying her toys in her mouth several times now that she's crawling. It cracks me up every time!

Ella's Pink Stroller

Ella has been pulling herself up on anything and everything the past few days. We decided to get her this stoller that she can walk with later. She's already pulling herself up on it and likes to push it with Mama or Daddy's help balancing.

Busy Baby

This is the park we meet the moms and babies at on Wednesdays.

Ella loves to watch the kids playing in the playground.

They have comfortable baby swings too. :-)

She really loves the water fountain at this park.

It's still warm enough for her to play in it. But I hold her since the water is a bit cold and I don't want her to get overwhelmed by it.

This is what she's up to at home.

I moved her board books to a low shelf in the living room. She loves to pull them off and then picks one or two to examine more closely.

She also loves to play with her Little People Zoo on the coffee table. She has no problem reaching them and the coffee table has slanted edges so it's pretty safe for her to play around.

Okay, I Call This Crawling

It may not be fast (thank goodness), but she's definitely mobile. I've decided that this is "crawling" sticker worthy (for her calendar). She either moves herself on her knees or uses her feet to give herself a little boost. :-)

Almost Crawling

Ella is almost crawling. She's moving herself around by rolling, scooting, etc. I'm already seeing several new hazards!

8 Months Old!

Ella is 8 months old today!

She's so active now that it's hard to get pictures with her facing the camera sometimes. :-)

This is what she's working on now... crawling!!!

Ella's First Trip to the Beach

We took Ella to the beach in Santa Cruz for the first time today.

Daddy packed Ella while Mama put together Ella's toys, milk, towels, sunblock, etc. :-)

"Hey, this is fun, Daddy!"

"Mama's trying to get me to wear my sunglasses, but I'd rather pull them off."

That's Sead in the white shirt down at the water with Ella. I stayed with our stuff, but was able to get some pictures of them using the zoom feature on our camera.

We borrowed a beach umbrella from Gramma Jean. It's a must for Ella. I thoroughly coated her in baby sunblock, but we still kept her in the shade as much as possible.

First Shoes & Bobcat Kitten

This is the first time we've put shoes on Ella. Auntie Joy sent these to us before Ella was born. They fit her perfectly right now and they're really soft. She thought they were very interesting too.

This is where "Snook" (aka Bobcat Kitten) likes to sleep when it's hot. We like to joke that she has Bobcat in her because she has tufted ears, a fuzzy tail, and she's quite wild. :-)
