Another Trip to the Beach

We asked Ella where she wanted to go on Sunday and she said "the ocean", so we headed to our favorite beach in Carmel.

 Emma loves kitties, so I just had to get her this shirt/pants set. When I showed it to her before putting it on she started talking to the kitty on it. :-) It says "Purrrfect Little Princess", which is very true of Emma.

Henry Cowell Redwoods

I took the girls for a walk in the Redwoods on Saturday. They really enjoyed the outing.

 Ella has adopted the stuffed racoon, Jimmy, that I played with when I was a kid. She decided that he needed to see the Redwoods. :-)

 Emma spent some of the time in the stroller, a little bit of time out walking, and the rest of the time in the backpack.

 Emma's not use to wearing shoes, but I didn't want her to walk barefoot in the dirt. She had a bit of trouble and fell once.

 Emma enjoyed the backpack ride. :-)

 Once Emma was in the backpack, Ella got to ride in the stroller for the rest of the walk.

Surprises in the Mail

Thank you, Gramma, Papa, and GJ for the surprises you sent to Ella and Emma! Emma loves the Tinkerbell book and Ella has been playing with the reusable princess sticker set all weekend. She also just started checking out her Monsters, Inc. book this morning. :-)

The girls and I spent the weekend in Valencia, CA (southern California) to visit my sister-in-law, nephew and new niece. It was our first time meeting Kate, our new little niece. We had so much fun!
