Halloween 2012

 It's hard to get good pictures in the dark, but here's the best of what I got while trick-or-treating.

I especially liked this house because we were greeted by their cat at the front door. :-)

Little Pumpkin Hunt

I hid some little pumpkins with candy in them around our yard and the girls had a great time hunting for them.

Ella's new hairbrush had just been delivered, so she wanted to take it with her on the hunt. :-)

She was so nice to her baby sister! She helped her find some that she'd spotted, so Emma would have an equal amount.

All About Bats

Last week Ella learned about things that live in fallen tree limbs (dead wood) and she got to pet a hedgehog. This week her Science Safari class was all about bats. They made these bats with magnets on the end and they pick up paper clipped pictures of fruit, bugs, etc. She also got to pet a Chinchilla! She LOVES her Science Safari classes! :-)

 

Madagascar 3 Movie Night

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted DVD arrived yesterday. The animals in the movie end up being a part of a circus, so while the girls were in the bath tub I quickly set up their Ikea circus tent and rolled out their Sherpa tigers. They were so excited when they got out of the bath and saw the set up.

 

 I brought them some movie snacks - popcorn, Madagascar shaped macaroni & cheese, and frosted animal cookies.

Halloween Party at the Marley's

 Playing "cornhole", something I'd never heard of before moving to North Carolina. It's a popular game here and Ella loves it.

Dinosaurs at the NC Zoo

The north Carolina Zoo has had a special Dinosaur exhibit since April. This was our second trip to see it, but I forgot the camera the first time. :-)

 

 The girls were so excited about renting a double stroller.

They love the playground at the zoo!

 

 Ice Cream!

 We stopped to see the Grizzly Bear. He's been hard to spot on our past visits.

The girls love the Dinosaur exhibit! This is one you can climb on.

 They all move and make sounds.

Not sure if you can make it out in this video, but Emma calls the dinosaurs "stinkysaurous". Not sure how she came up with that. :-)

 We rode the carousel just before heading home.

They had a spinning seat on the carousel. I think I'll pass on that seat next time, but Ella loved it.
