Ella's Catnip Toy Tutorial

Every Christmas I make the cats simple nip toys that they love. This year Ella learned how to make them too! Here's her tutorial...

Part 1

Part 2

Santa!

Ella telling Santa she wants a skateboard for Christmas. Emy didn't want to sit on Santa's lap this year. :-)

Emy wanted to pet the donkey and cows at the live nativity. :-)

 Cookies with Mrs. Claus!

Finally...

Emy's in her big girl bed now and Ella was able to spend the night with her last night and the night before! It's still a challenge some nights to get her to settle down and stay in bed, but hopefully she'll adjust to her new routine soon.

We updated her bed to Dora the Explorer and Ella's to Monster High. That helped add to the excitement of the transition. We also pushed the two beds together because the girls loved sharing a double bed while we were on vacation. This way they can cuddle before falling asleep. :-)

The Piggy Palace

This is Bailey's house. He loves it! He's been it for at least four months. No more small cage for this boy!

It's made of grids and Coroplast with "Fleece Flippers". They're like pillow cases for the Coroplast inserts and can be swept and turned over half way through the week. All of the fleece can be washed in the washing machine. It's awesome stuff!

He has a "fleece forest" and a "piggy pouch". Up on his piggy patio he has a "Pigaloo". :-)

I love that it has storage underneath.

The Girls and Fall at Bass Lake

We've had the most beautiful fall this year! I've heard it's due to all the rain we got this summer. The girls and I stopped at Bass Lake today to walk, enjoy the sites, and get some photos of the colors (and the girls). I think we're a few days past peak, but it's still gorgeous out there.

Dora The Explorer Live!

Emy loves Dora the Explorer, so I got tickets for the live show in Raleigh. Had to buy them months ago, but we got great seats.

Emy's the biggest fan, but Ella enjoyed the show too.

A very excited girl!

Emy was enthralled!

Our Piglet

We adore our piglet!!!

This is his play area when he's out of his "piggy palace".

 Mmmmm! Lettuce!

"Where's the pig?"

Bailey was back in his piggy palace. Snook's a little too interested in him to let her have direct access, but she loves to pretend she's hunting in his playpen. :-)

My Girls

Awww, they love each other!

Halloween 2013

We got to Trick-or-Treat with friends this year.

Ella as Clawdeen Wolf (Monster High), Melissa as a pirate girl, Emy as Doc McStuffin
