Ella's Current Favorites

Ella has discovered the joys of temporary tattoos. :-) She also loves Monster High, in my opinion it's so much better than Barbie. Behind her are some of her favorite Usborne books, Monster High tattoos, and the Monster University PNK girls.

Butterflies and Bees

We've seen lots of these Swallowtails this year.

There are so many bees and butterflies on our Japanese Privets in the backyard that when you step close all you hear is hundreds of little wings flapping.

Muffin loves the yard! I've been calling him a little hedgehog these days because he sleeps in a ball under our Azalea and when Ella pulls him out he stays in his ball shape. :-)

Frog!

We found this little guy on our kitchen window last night! Ella and I caught him and brought him in for awhile in our butterfly habitat. I'm always hoping to find frogs in the yard, but mostly I just hear them. We did save a toad in the pool a few weeks ago, so it looks like it might be the summer of frogs and toads this year. :-)

Ella, attempting to hold the frog - He was pretty lively, so she mostly just got to pet him before we found him a prime spot in the yard away from the hunter, Snook.

Spring Photo Shoot

Our yard is starting to bloom and bunnies are starting to appear in larger numbers. We've seen our first lady bug, dragonfly, and caterpillar since last fall. Spring is definitely here with maybe a bit of summer too judging from the temperatures lately. :-)

Snook's enjoying the warmer temperatures. :-)

Snook actually pauses for me to take her photo now.
