One Year Since Our Move to North Carolina

One year ago today we got the keys to our beautiful new home in Holly Springs. We couldn't be happier in our new home and new home town! This year has flown by so fast, but North Carolina has felt like home from the very day we moved here.

Hill Ridge Farm

Ella was so excited to return to Hill Ridge Farms this fall and Emma was able to do a lot more there this year.

I love the hay roll paintings they have all over the farm.

Ella's favorite feature is the giant jumping pillow.

This was Emma's first pony ride.

Ducklings!

The girls can't resist a corn crib.

This is also a favorite of Ella's, the giant slide!

Spider!

Gemstone panning! Emma just likes to toss the little stones into the water.

Ella found some really pretty gems.

Cinderella Blu-ray Premier

Ella hasn't watched Cinderella for awhile and Emma had never seen it before, so when it arrived on Blu-ray I decided to make it a "premier" night. :-)

 We started by decorating wands.

Emma's is on the left, Ella's on the right.

Emma got distracted playing with daddy, so Ella and I decorated glass slipper, castle, and crown cookies.

Here's the surprise snack I made for them to eat while watching the movie.

They already had the Cinderella dishes, blankets, and Lucifer cats (we call him Lucy), but they got their own singing Cinderella dolls as a surprise.

They both went for the strawberry mice first.

Emma loves the glass slippers on her Cinderella.

Emma was so excited to see her stuffed cat in the movie (yep, she recognized him).

The Pumpkin Patch Express

We had tickets for a Friday afternoon ride on the Pumpkin Patch Express at the Museum of Life & Science. There are so many great fall activities here and this was one of our favorites so far.

Ready to go!

Waiting for the train

There it is!

Arriving at the pumpkin patch

Ella chose the face painting that matched her barrette. :-)

This was Emma's first painting, so we thought the hand might be best.

Decorating bags for their pumpkins

I think this is a picture of her guinea pig. :-)

Emma loved the stamps and stickers!
