Swimming

We've been at the pool about six days a week this summer. We mostly go down in the evening when it's cooling down a bit and the sun is lower. I finally took the camera to capture the girls swimming achievements this year. They've both come a long way since last year and even since the beginning of this swim season in May.

Emma can now swim around in her swim vest and move from one end of the pool to the other (with us closely following, just in case).

Last year it was a real challenge to get Ella to put her face in the water. This year she spends lots of time under the water picking up toys from the bottom of the pool, doing somersaults, and just swimming under the surface.

Ella's underwater somersault, she does up to three of them in a row.

This is how Emma swims right now.

Ella's somesault jump, we don't let her dive.

Outdoors at the Museum of Life & Science

We explored the outdoor section of the Museum of Life & Science yesterday. It was a bit hot, but we only spent about an hour there.

 The girls love water!

 Donkey!

Emma was quite impressed with the donkey.

 Piggies!

The girls loved this cow. Actually, Sead says it's a bull.

They both got to pet him.

Ella even got to touch one of the butterflies.

Honey Pots

I've had a couple of requests for more pictures of the "honey pots" I painted for Emma's birthday. The idea came from Pinterest  (http://pinterest.com/pin/234327986831837648/). They were pretty easy to make and Emma loves them.

Emma's 2nd Birthday Celebration!!!

We celebrated Emma's birthday a day early since Sead will be at work most of the day tomorrow. She loves Winnie-the-Pooh, so that was the theme.

I painted clay pots to make these "honey pots". After today they will store crayons and glitter glue in the girls learning room.

Emma loves Minnie Mouse! She's thrilled with this Minnie Mouse pet shop and play mat!

Ella's gift - a Brave costume!

Thank you for the kitty house, Uncle Nate and Auntie Joy!!! Emma can't resist kitties! :-)

Emma loves Ella's Tag Reader so much that we got her the Junior Tag Reader.

Emma wanted us to relight and sing to her over and over again. She even managed to blow out the candles by herself a couple of times.

Pin the Tail on Eeyore!

The girls had a great time pinning and repinning. Emma's still a little young for the blindfold part, so we skipped that part.

A talking, moving Pooh! His nose and ears move when he talks and sings and he moves from side to side.

Ella loves the books that Gramma & Papa sent for her!

Thank you for the books, Sherpa Kitty, and adorable stuffed cow, Gramma & Papa!
