HollyFest

We walked to HollyFest this morning. It's an annual event for the town of Holly Springs held at Womble Park just a couple of blocks from our house.

Our favorite attraction at HollyFest, Robinson's Pig Race :-)

Adorable little pigs running as fast as they can for an Oreo at the end of the race. :-)

Bouncy houses!

Can You Tell We're From California?

The temperature dropped today as low as 43 F. I think it was around 52 F when we took these pictures in the backyard. We were all bundled up almost as if there was snow outside. :-) We'll have some adjusting to do to get use to the winter temperatures out here.

A Fall Day

Ella and I spent some time in the backyard today raking pine needles while Emma napped. It was just 52 F, so Ella wanted to put on her mittens and hat. :-) I know it's going to get a lot colder, but it feels pretty cold to us already.

Around Our Neighborhood and Womble Park

I took the girls out today for a bike ride in our neighborhood and to nearby Womble Park.

On our way...

I took some pictures of my favorite views in our neighborhood.

 It's a beautiful park!

The girls made a couple of friends at the park. :-)

Ganyard Hill Farm

We've been so busy settling into our new home that we haven't had much time to explore the area, but Sunday we decided it was time to take a break and head to Ganyard Hill Farm. They have all kinds of fall activities there and the girls had a wonderful time!

Climbing on the haystack slide and tunnel

Coming out of the slide - I think Ella went down the slide about 50 times while we were there. :-)

Emma found her own pumpkin and was quite thrilled with it.

Harvesting some corn with Daddy

We each got to pick our own pumpkin straight from the vine.

They call this the "Corn Crib". It's a whole bunch of dry corn that the kids have a blast playing in.

Emma loved the Corn Crib too!

At the back of the Corn Crib there are tubes with holes in them so you can feed the cows some corn.

Emma loves cows and was so excited to see the real ones and these!

"Milking" a cow (it's just water in those imitation cow utters)
