Fourth of July - Visiting Family

We spent the Fourth of July in Colfax with my parents, brother, his wife, and their boy, Grant.
Looking at wind chimes with Gramma

Grant was immediately comfortable with Sead. It was the first time that Sead had met Grant in person. :-)

Ella and Grant played together really well. Grant is such a sweet boy!

Just getting started in the morning... looking a little sleepy. Ella was having so much fun at Gramma & Grandpa's that she didn't nap at all while we were there.

Fourth of July - Park

We took Ella and Grant to the park in the morning to stretch their legs before it got too warm.

Ella loves the swing right now!

The dads pushing the toddlers. :-)

Playing in the sand box. There were lots of toys.

Checking out the geese and ducks.

Ella watching the geese and ducks following them.

Ella wanted to get into the water with the geese.

Fourth of July - Horses

We got to visit the horses next door while we were at my parents'. Ella was excited about them, but didn't want to touch them. Guess they're a little big for her yet.

Grant also enjoyed seeing them. He's allergic, so he can't touch them.

The neighbor's two dogs loved Ella and so wanted to give her kisses.

Fourth of July - Kubota

We spent some time at the front of the house playing.

Grant picking flowers with Gramma.

Ella enjoyed pushing the stool too.

(Cute pigtails! Auntie Joy gave us some great hair clips!)

A quick family shot, although, Ella was in no mood for it. She wanted to get back to playing.

"Shouldn't we buckle up, GJ?"

Princess Shoes

Ella's going through that toddler stage where they love shoes. I picked up these princess dress up shoes for her today since I hate for her to play with our nasty outdoor shoes. :-) Plus, they're just so cute!

She loves them!

I don't put the elastic band around her ankle because she has trouble taking them off if I do.

Ahhh... so pretty!

Much better than Daddy's tennis shoes

Ella's First Swim Lesson

Ella had her first swim lesson yesterday evening.

She liked being in the water right away.

We're doing "semi-private" lessons, so there's one other little girl in the pool with us.

She liked catching the toys.

Ponytail

Ella's hair is getting so long. I just had to try a ponytail. :-)

She actually left it in. I took it out after taking these pictures so we wouldn't lose the ponytail holder in the house somewhere. :-)
