Dance Class

I brought my new camera to Ella's dance class on Tuesday. I was never able to get good pictures of her with my other camera at the studio because it's quite large and my camera didn't have the ability to zoom in close enough or capture action shots. This time I brought the 55-300mm lens and got some fun shots.

It's too distracting for the girls to have the dance studio doors open during their entire lesson, so I only got a few shots of their first tap dance, but they turned out well.

Audrey's 4th Birthday Party

We had a great time at Audrey's birthday party today. I took my new camera and tried to get some great pictures. I'm still learning about it and the light was difficult to work with in a couple areas of the backyard, but overall, I think the pictures turned out pretty good for my first event photos.

Emma was in the backpack on my back some of the time and while I fed her. The backpack does come in very handy sometimes!

Emma's 12 Month Photos

Emma's last first year photo shoot... Time goes by so quickly with two little ones. Our baby Emma is now our toddler Emma. :-) She's walking quite a bit these days, but still goes back to crawling from time to time. She understands so many of the objects around her like turning pages in a book and how to make the music play on her toy mailbox. She's all about discovery and is so friendly and outgoing. She's the exact same height as Ella was at 12 months, 30 1/4 inches and is starting to lose her baby chubbys.

Emma is still one of the happiest babies I've ever seen. She rarely gets upset about anything, except a brief protest at nap time or bed time or when she has to lay still for a diaper change and of course, if something is taken away from her. Otherwise, she's all smiles and giggles! :-)
