Swimming

We've been at the pool about six days a week this summer. We mostly go down in the evening when it's cooling down a bit and the sun is lower. I finally took the camera to capture the girls swimming achievements this year. They've both come a long way since last year and even since the beginning of this swim season in May.

Emma can now swim around in her swim vest and move from one end of the pool to the other (with us closely following, just in case).

Last year it was a real challenge to get Ella to put her face in the water. This year she spends lots of time under the water picking up toys from the bottom of the pool, doing somersaults, and just swimming under the surface.

Ella's underwater somersault, she does up to three of them in a row.

This is how Emma swims right now.

Ella's somesault jump, we don't let her dive.

Wow-they are doing so great! Ella is amazing!! Grant swims like Emma (with the vest on). Another reason we need to come visit...Ella can teach him how to swim! I'm so glad you have a nice pool so you can do something fun during the summer heat.
